Are we in the middle of this life pandemic and after-effects or are we at the beginning of the end? Theories are deliberated and disputed. The fact is- we do not know. Many people are making decisions that affect our world in many different ways.
Everyone seems to, at least mention, that the unknown and uncertainty is scary. BUT when were we certain or sure of what was ahead?? How could we have been? Nothing is guaranteed. Tomorrow is never promised.
Many also speak of not wanting to go back to their normal. They appreciate the slowness, the focus- they are appreciating what is really important.
What is most important to YOU? What is most important to mostly everyone? I believe
the core of what is most important comes from our need to be loved and love others, because we were created for real relationship.
Do we live each day with these things guiding our choices?
Probably not enough.
Each day is a new day to start fresh. Learn from past days, and do your best today at making improvements where you are able. As long as you have breath, there are so many possibilities!
My confidence comes from our Creator. He has shown me His love and His faithfulness through my failures and my struggles. There are a few Bible verses that help my daily focus:
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12:2
Faith is not based on our certainty. It believes even when everything is uncertain.
May you be encouraged and strengthened today! Our heart is to not only love, restore, and support the women we serve, but also to those in our community and our RRC Champions(Each one who gives of their time/talent/treasure to partner with RRC). Because it is all of us together that are able to truly love, restore, and support the women who need it so extravagantly!
The foundation of Redeem and Restore Center is our hope and faith that our God is faithful- no matter the circumstances. The HE is the Redeemer of our failures, our brokenness, and our sin. HE is the Restorer. He wants to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. Isaiah 61:3
