Together we are Better
We’ve all seen plants that push their way through cracks in a cement sidewalk with a desire to survive. People are a lot like plants—some are able to survive harsh circumstances while others thrive because they receive the right amount of love, nutrients, and attention in the proper environment. God’s desire for each of us is the latter. God purposefully created man and woman in His image for His purposes—to bear fruit (Genesis 1:27, Ephesians 2:10, Galatians 5:22-26, Colossians 1:10). For many of us we had/have the love and support to help us navigate through difficult times. Sadly, many do not. Women who have survived after being enslaved in sexual exploitation from sex trafficking require additional support to begin to thrive.
REDEEM AND RESTORE’S MISSION STATEMENT IS: Together we love, restore, and support women recovering from sex trafficking and exploitation.
Note that the first word in the Mission Statement is ‘Together’.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says this: “Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.”
Just as there are many types of plants that serve a variety of purposes, so too are human beings—created uniquely—no two are alike. Each of us can play a part in helping to ignite hope and growth in women who have survived sexual exploitation. This can be done in a variety of ways: through prayers, funding, time, and talent.
REDEEM AND RESTORE’S VISION IS:
We will provide recovery resources and services in a restorative care home where women can heal, discover their identities, and fulfill their God-given purpose.
The optimal way is in a restorative care home, much like a greenhouse to plants, where the environment is fertile and the conditions can be controlled to allow a safe place to heal and grow.
So please prayerfully consider helping in some way. You can find more information about donating, volunteering, community awareness training, prayer requests, etc. on the website: www.redeemandrestore.org.
We are better together. Together we can support women recovering from sexual exploitation and grow hope!
