Music Therapy

This includes listening, singing, moving or even creating music.  Music provides avenues for communication, an outlet for expression of feelings, connection to their feelings, and can help others understand their feelings and thoughts of the survivors.

Research has demonstrated that a variety of music can provide relaxation and stress management, by choosing the right types of music.  Benefits include: decreased heart rate, lower blood pressure, coping skills, better psychological adjustments, used as effective sedative, and for stress management and relief.
